Sleep is Over

Sleep is over I lay in the silent room

I struggle with the transition from one reality to the next

Something is missing it always is

My nighttime life is devoid of what?

The strange monochrome, 2D, silent world

Each night it eats away at my soul

Each morning once again requiring nourishment

The day begins in silence

A routine shared by many

The thing that marks this life from that of my dreams

The thing shared by the living but not the dead

Music in all its forms

It brightens my day, inspires me and helps I’m sure preserve my sanity
